World Expo 2010 Shanghai, China


World Expo 2010 Shanghai China will be a great event to explore the full potentials of urban life; it will be centered on innovation and interaction; it will also offer a wonderful opportunity for cross-culture dialogues. The theme of Expo 2010 is “Better City, Better Life,” representing the common wish of the whole humankind for a better living in future urban environments. The emblem, depicting the image of three people-you, me, him/her holding hands together, symbolizes the big family of mankind. Created from a Chinese character meaning people, the mascot “Haibao” embodies the character of Chinese culture. International Exhibitions Bureau, established in Paris, in 1928, regulates the frequency and quality of exhibitions falling within its remit.

World Expo 2010 Shanghai China Date: May 1st, 2010 to October 31st aiming to attract the participation of 200 countries and international organizations and 70 million visitors.
Location: Nanpu Bridge – Lupu Bridge region along both sides of the Huangpu River
Theme: Better City, Better Life
Sub-themes: Blending of diverse cultures in the city, Economic prosperity in the city, Innovation of science and technology in the city, Remodeling of communities in the city, Rural-urban Interaction
